　　The disadvantages of blockboard are: because the upper and lower layers are plywood, the middle is the core material of small pieces of wood strip pressing, sometimes there is a gap in the middle, and it is easy to open the glue, drum surface and deformation after thermal expansion and cold contraction.　

　　When choosing a blockboard, pay attention to the following:　

　　1. To choose the machine puzzle. Blockboard can be divided into two categories: hand puzzle and machine puzzle. Hand puzzle is to manually inlay the wooden strips into the interlayer, this kind of board is generally unevenly arranged with the core of the wood strips, the gap is large, mostly scraps, the board surface has concave and convex, the nail holding force is poor, it is not suitable for sawing processing, and it can generally only be used in part of the whole project with home decoration, such as the cushion wool board of the solid wood floor. The core of the machine panel is arranged evenly and neatly, and the core material of the surface layer pressurized plate is tightly combined.　

　　2. The core material is not good for hard wood. The core material of blockboard is mostly poplar, pine, paulownia, basswood and hardwood. The nail holding force of pine and other tree species is strong and not easy to deform; It's good not to choose hardwood, because hardwoods don't 'eat nails'.　

　　3. Pay attention to the appearance of the plate. If there is a phenomenon of glue repair and putty around the blockboard, it means that there must be gaps or cavities in his interior. You can also use a needle-nosed utensil to knock on the surface of the plate, if the business is quite different, *** indicates that there is a cavity inside. In addition, it is also necessary to see whether the surface of the plate is flat, whether there is concave and convex, whether it is bent and deformed, etc. A good plate is sanded on both sides, which feels very smooth to the touch, with straight sides and neatly arranged side core boards without gaps.　

　　4. Pay attention to the moisture content of the plate. The moisture content of blockboard should not exceed 12%. High-quality blockboard is machine-dried, and the moisture content can reach the standard, while the moisture content of inferior large core board often does not meet the standard.　

　　5. Pay attention to the formaldehyde content of the plate. Formaldehyde mainly causes damage to the respiratory system and has been recognized as a carcinogen by the World Health Organization. It is mainly released from blockboards. When choosing, you should avoid using decorative panels with pungent odors. Because the greater the odor, the higher the formaldehyde release, the more polluting and harmful it is.
